Brief Explanation of popular powder coating colour ranges
There are 4 powder coating colour ranges that we use:
- RAL Classic Range. A RAL Colour is always described as RAL and then 4 numbers, for instance, RAL 9010 White.
- British Standard 4800. A British Standard colour is laid out as two numbers, a letter and then two more numbers, e.g. 04 E 53 Red.
- British Standard 381C Signified by the description BS 381C and then a three-letter number e.g. 104 Azure Blue.
- Natural Colour Systems (NCS) Dulux Colours use the NCS Range, Signified by a series of numbers & letters such as NCS S 1050 Y.
We have over 400 Powder Coating colours in stock.
If we do not stock the colour you need for your parts then we can source most colours/gloss levels from the British Standard Range and RAL Classic Range within 24 hours.
We can also source bespoke Powder Coating Colours manufactured to the RAL Design Range, N.C.S Range ( Natural Colour Systems) Pantone, Farrow & Ball etc usually within 14 days.

Powder Coating Gloss Levels.
Gloss is measured as a percentage.
- Matt Powders are between 20% and 30% gloss.
- Semi-gloss Powders are usually around 60-65% gloss.
- Gloss Powders 80% and above.
